Privacy notice

This notice describes the current Media Core 8KTV website, account service, and Android player.

Your playlists and content

Playlist URLs, provider account credentials, and local media catalog data are stored in the player’s encrypted local storage. They are not uploaded to the owner console. Your stream provider receives the requests the player makes to play or refresh its content.

Account and license data

Signing in with ChatGPT shares basic profile details needed for account access. Media Core stores account identity, email, display name, license grants, registered device labels and platform, device connection dates, payment references, code redemptions, and support conversations. Device secrets and complimentary codes are stored as hashes.

Payments

Direct Android purchases are processed on Stripe’s hosted checkout. Media Core stores order references, amount, currency, payment status, and relevant payment events. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored in the Media Core database.

Website requests and downloads

If you submit a question or request release updates, the contact details and message you provide are saved for that purpose. Download starts are counted by date and release; those counters do not store your identity. The service uses short-lived hashed rate-limit identifiers to control abuse. Hosting and payment providers may maintain their own security and operational logs.

Access and support

The owner can access the account, licensing, billing reference, device, and support records necessary to operate the service. Use a private account ticket to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Some transaction or security records may need to be retained to handle payments, disputes, abuse, or applicable obligations.

Cookies and security

Authentication uses the sign-in provider’s session mechanisms. The player stores its device connection token in secure device storage. No advertising tracking or third-party marketing analytics are added by this website. Use your account to remove an old device, and keep provider passwords out of support requests.
